Most people would tell you to earn a college degree first for back up but do you think one should follow their dream of becoming an artist, actor, singer, Youtuber etc. and just stick to their dream because they feel in their heart that they will succeed? Do you think telling someone to have back up means telling them that they might not make it and discourage them?
I would prefer having a back up because no matter how strong my will and dreams are, I may not succeed and that's how life is sometimes.

I completely understand that having the degree would be good however, if you had a chance to do what you want to the most, you would do absolutely everything you could to be successful with your dreams. You'll never know if it's going to be a mistake without going for it and plus, you can always do a degree anytime in your life where as your dreams may not always be available. This is how I look at it anyways as you should always follow your dreams no matter what anybody tells you. Nobody can tell you any different as you only get one life so you should go with what you want as it's your life, not anybody else's.

I am a fan of both. I'm in college now but I still can follow my dreams and do something else at any moment! So I like both! I love education and money!

Unless you can get a degree at a low rate or your desired career path requires it, then I would look other ways to reach your goals.
