When I plan to see this movie I was not having high expectation, but when I actually saw it I could possibly imagine its relevance in present day life.  The story is about a young woman who is addicted to electronic gadgets like smartphone, laptops etc.  I think most of her life is spent on these machines.  But when a scammer started watching her through her gadgets the movie took a serious turn.  He took control of her laptops and smartphone.  He saw her live 24X7 through cameras fitted in mobile and laptop which finally led to a tragic ending.

Our cameras could be open doors to outside world and there is nothing called privacy before an open camera.  We have a lesson to learn from this movie.

Could it be really true that one can be watched by one own's camera. The idea is scary. The movie sounds nice although I haven't watched yet. Thanks for sharing an overview I will definitely recommend it to my movie crazy friends.

No, I didn't watch it but it is not far from the reality. The tragic is not in the fact what a person can do to us, but what a fear can cause to do to us ourselves.

I think it is quite possible.  As we can use webcam to connect to people from various places, it can be hacked too.  In one of the forums I am a member a person said that the first thing he did when he purchased a laptop was to seal off the webcam with dark plastic.  As per him it is very important to have a look at your webcam when your PC is on.  In most of the PCs there is an indicator light and to be on a safe side as a simple solution just put a sticker or a bit of Blu-Tac over the camera eye.  Precaution is always better than cure.

In the present situation anything that can be accessed can be hacked too.  Hackers are very smart to take full control of your gadgets and it's actually happening.  With the help of a key logger virus the hacker can actually see a live telecast of all your movements online including your passwords and username as you type it.
