These days the adult education system has encouraged the senior community members to seek further education.  I have known so many people who have taken up this opportunity to better themselves and find something useful to do with their lives. Does your country offer this type of courses? Will that be a competition for younger generation as even after retirement most elderly people may choose to keep working.

Adult education has been existing in this part of the world a long time ago. In fact, one very popular school, La Salle, has that course intended for those poor aged people who want to get education. There have been many graduates in their high school adult education who pursued college studies (in another school because La Salle is very expensive). Now one congressman is thinking of proposing a free adult education to be offered by all public schools - that is from elementary to high school only.

This is a very encouraging news. Since many elderly people have less social support, which itself is one of the factors of opting for further education, lowering the cost of the education would really be beneficial and encouraging.

I think adult education is very necessary, especially to young children under 18 years. To prevent a crime sex anymore.

Not that I'm aware of, not many old people here need to continue a job as they have enough in their Super and savings to live out their lives, and still have enough to give to their hild ren.

We don't have too many programs like that, but people use education even when they get over 40 so they can get a better living for themselves.
