Playstation Plus Games

So like Xbox do with their Live service, Playstation offer free games (usually around 3) every month to their PS Plus subscribers. What are your opinions of these games and do you actually download them when they are available? Compared with the games given out by Microsoft, are the Playstation games good enough and worth it? 

Personally I have only ever been interested in two of the games that they have offered as part of this promotion. Rocket League, which unfortunately I was not a PS Plus member when it was out so I missed out on it :(. And the other game was Table Top Racing which is out this month (it's not even that good a game, but can be fun for a few minutes  :D). 

Do you think Playstation should try to offer better games for free even if it mean't less games per month (let's say 1 game a month)?

I download the free games just to have them in my purchase history so if I ever want to play them in the future I can still download them.
