I don't understand why some people prefers softcore porn where the sex is fake, there is too much story and talking, the nudity is not full frontal and all it have is kissing.

I think the answer is right there in your question itself. People are more interested what is hidden. Once the reality is in front people tend to lose interest but eagerness keeps them going and they want to know more.

I prefer soft porn than hard core porn because the flow of the story is more of mental than visual. And I'd say visual is lesser in sensation when it comes to titillation. It's just like being in a nude colony when the appetite for sex would vanish because all you see are nude people. But when you go to a strip tease joint and you see only the panty and bra and being teased of what's inside, the impact is much greater in terms of sexual stimulation.

I might be too visual to understand this. I just don't see any difference between an NC-17 movie and a softcore porn. This make me realize some people prefers something less revealing and realistic.

I really don't understand why they some poeple prefer this, I had a friend that was the same, he didn't want to watch the let's say "close-up" shots, when I've ask him why he said something like "I just like it that way". You know people are least interested in watching porn where it is legally allowed but the people in countries watch porn sites where it is officially banned. Although, no government in the world can possibly impose ban on porn but the fact is people love to leave something on their imagination too.

Maybe it leaves more to the imagination. Maybe people want the full experience of a loving scene. Some people just like imagining their own scenes and actually might watch for the scene.
