First requirement to become successful in any field is you need to become smart. Smartness does not pay you entire, thus, you need to work hard. If you combine smartness with hard work you will become successful. You need to have smartness to learn life skills, you need to work hard to make your skills pay for you.

It is better to work smarter than harder. I heard this phrase a lot while preparing for my standardized testing, "Prep smarter, not harder."

I think that it is unnecessary to do all this grueling and exhaustive work just to work. I would much rather do something in which I can apply the knowledge that I have learned to avoid potential stress.

I don't think we always have a choice. But if I do, i know I would work smart, not hard. There is expression in my country, something like this
''if you don't have brain you better have strong back''. So, if you can avoid working your ass of, I think you should :))

In most instances I have seen that smart work gives immediate good result but long term defame. At the same time, hard work may seem slow in the beginning but long term impression is great. Both have its uses in specific situations.

Smart work is better option because there is no reason torturing yourself with things that don't deliver in the end.

Maybe working too hard can cause more fatigue and causing you to give up quicker. I think working smarter is the best way to go. It's slower but gives you less stress meaning, more chance for success.

Working smart. It provides efficiency at the same time consumes less time than working hard, although one must work hard too because working smart doesn't really work most of the time.
