How do you personally define success?
I feel that it is a build up of failures to one grand accomplishment that brings happiness.
Generally, long-term happiness, as well.
Personally, i define success as:
suc·cess [suhk-ses]
noun
1.
the favorable or prosperous termination of attempts or endeavors; the accomplishment of one's goals.
2.
the attainment of wealth, position, honors, or the like.
3.
a performance or achievement that is marked by success, as by the attainment of honors: The play was an instant success.
4.
a person or thing that has had success, as measured by attainment of goals, wealth, etc.: She was a great success on the talk show.
5.
Obsolete , outcome.
I think that this thread is underrated, should have more replies.
Anyhow, I believe that success is happiness. Success is not an actual object, it's a feeling you have, it's a lifestyle. To answer this question, think of a successful man. What do you picture in your mind when you think of a successful man. For most, you picture a man in a fancy tuxedo posing next to a Ferrari, with a mansion behind the car.
My definition of success is accomplishing your goals in life, and having great wealth, or whatever makes you happy. If you have most, or all of the things you want in life, that's success.
