Do you wear a helmet while riding a bike?

I see many people wear helmets just to escape from the eyes of cops and the penalty.  They are not doing it for their own safety and security.  They think they are smart not to spend too much on quality helmets.  In our country more than 80% of people died out of accidents were not wearing a helmet and almost all of them are young people.  Newspapers publish these statistics almost every other day, but I don’t think anybody take it seriously.  They think they won’t have to face a fate like that ever.

I think in our body almost all organs are reparable, but not brain.  In accidents even our strong skull is not able to protect our brain so an external protection is very much necessary. Do you advocate using helmets while riding a bike? 

I think I tried it once because the bike came with a free helmet but I never used it again. I now I should because of the dangers of being hit by a car and such but I rarely use my bike for long distances or in a very busy street., the people who do that or work as messengers they really should use them as they are in a constant danger because they travel at high speeds on very congested streets.

I don't believe you legally need to wear a helmet here. Can't remember the last time I rode a bike, but I indeed did not wear a helmet.

I know it's unsafe but I don't wear a helmet. When I was a child my parents wouldn't let me get on my bike until I would have my helmet on. The next time a ride one I will for sure wear one to be an example to my daughter.

I don't wear helmets but I do when I can. It can save your life but sometimes, you need to go places quickly and just don't have a helmet. I usually try to be as careful as possible.

When i am travelling somewhere where i know are traffic, if i go to a nearby shop, i won't wear it. But for longer distances i do, it will save your life.
