What's your opinion on the best work music genre?
I feel that jazz and classical increase the flow to my brain more than any other.
However, with rap, or dubstep, I get an increase in physical allowances.

Jazz and classical focus more on relaxation. They increase self-esteem and leave the listener at ease which is why I think these two genres are best for most work.
If your an athlete, jazz or classical wouldn't work. You want something motivational, something lyrical, perhaps rap.

I personally prefer ballads, piano ballads to be exact. Each note of the piano just plays so differently, it's like every key is dancing on its own.
I think it varies on the way the music goes. If it's a constant calm melody witch does not vary in a big way (chord progression) than the brain has less efforts to do and concentrates less on following the music structure. As if the music is loud and complex to follow it takes over your thoughts. When I write or work or read I rather listen to some calm music like probably Coldplay (old albums) or The Feeling but when I do sport Electronic music boosts me more.

There are some studies that show a connection of classical music with memory and performance, so I would say that any classical music is beneficial to critical thinking work.
