My Google Chrome cannot access Facebook. It gives an error message – Your connection is not private. When I clicked on the advanced, it appears that I am trying to access a bogus site - but Facebook it is so there’s something wrong with the browser.

And to thicken the plot, here’s an added information. My home computer is a clone of my office computer, both having the same OS and practically the same hardware configuration. However, my office computer’s Chrome can access Facebook while my home computer cannot. So there, anyone?

There are several reasons which can cause this problem. Here are few of them.

Make sure timing of you computer is accurate. In accurate time or date can cause this problem.

Try to write http:// ahead of facebook URL, instead of https://, let's see if it loads or not.

Try to open your facebook account in chrome's incognito mode. See if on that window you can load the facebook or not.

Other thing is that your antivirus may stop https sites for some reason. Try to off antivirus temporarily and open the facebook again, if it works for you then you can checkout the setting of your antivirus.

There are the reasons come in my minds if I think about problem you have mentioned. Try your luck with them and hope one of them will work for you.
