How do you feel about this Topic?:

Honestly, he did a good thing when he 'Accidentally' Found America. People know him to be a good guy, but he was the first person in America to bring slaves here. He killed Indians because they weren't like him, he wasn't a great guy in my eyes. He did some good things, but in my eyes he was a horrible person.

His mission was to find a quick route to the East Indies for collecting nutmeg as nutmeg was believed to cure the black death at the time which made it incredibly expensive and worth sailing across the world just to get some. After arriving at America he thought he had arrived in the East Indies.

That is correct, even though that's a scam because nothing could cure Black Death.

One of the best scams in history IMO. The Nutmeg myth drove us all other the world nearly.

Christopher wasn't the first to arrive, I remember there was someone way before him.

It was The Polynesians and The Vikings. But Columbus was the one to settle and murder many indians.

Viking reached newfoundland, canada, and greenland long before Columbus ever arrived. The first thing he ever did when he arrived was kill loads of "indians" for nothing more than sheer fancy. He was a brute, and the only reason Sapin sponsored him was that they were weak as hell and took a shot in the dark.

Interesting story as well, without the prosperity the Americas brought Europe the Assanid empire (the muslims) who had already conquered Byzantium and most of Spain, were poised to conquer Italy and take over Europe. This would have make Islam the dominant european religion, meaning all of america would have been Islam. Crazy to think about.
