I have read all your replies, and I must say, I did not expect this high. I am sorry if I offended you with this. Some of the replies were good, but 'meh' at the same time. I appreciate efforts in replies. But I must say, this forum is going to achieve a lot with intellectual communication like these.

If it's ending, it was quite short and hoped it was more "professional" on some levels but great outwork by the community. We need more discussions that make us "think" more.

Humans throughout history have proven we need something to look up to or forward too. Ask yourself, if you lived in a world with no power figures, no direction, no government, no law. Do you think you would be the person you are today? Do you think your parents would be the people they grew to be? Most likely not, humans need an icon to follow, a leader, a beacon f hope that in the after life there will be something, anything to find or go towards. I myself am an atheist, i believe strongly in vestigial features in which we ALL possess as a species. I believe i will return to the earth from whence i came, my opinion religion is a fantasy fairy fable made up to keep order

Why earn pennies a page when you can invent your own religion and make millions? I do believe people need a higher power to look to for direction and guidance when they do not understand their beginnings. I myself think it is a waste of time and you are looking for something that isn't there but hey who am i too judge? After all there is the ever present possibility that i myself am the one who is incorrect as i have no way of knowing what is beyond this world.

Good point. As humans, we all look up to someone that is idolized as being "better" then us in some way, shape or form. God, as he is, is perfect. Why wouldn't people want to follow him and try to learn his ways. We all look up to some sort of "higher" power as the God Particle has told us as of late. We feel "more connected" when we are with God and praying as some tests has shown which is pretty cool as our brain then connects to this "particle".

We need something above us to give us guidance or reason. These reasons could be start a war, to blame God for your misfortune, not yourself etc....
