It is our brain basically making the choice to twist our response for benefit.
For instance, no one would lie without reason.

Tommy stole a cookie from the cookie jar.
He wouldn't simply tell the truth, at the age of seven.
He would lie, because he doesn't want to suffer.

Lying is very fascinating.

Hm. I never really thought about it like that.
I've noticed that the lies just continue, like a spiral.
You have to remember the first lie, then the lie after that, and so on.
