Anyways, him telling religious people they have the wrong mindset on the world is no different than you telling him he has the wrong mindset for his opinion.
It's just a matter of perspective. When you start taking others' religious opinions personally, you need to step back and realize nothing is for certain and you're beating a dead horse if you attempt to credit your opinion. If it's your strong belief, then who gives a fuck what others think about it?
