Quote:Guilty Gearâ (ã®ã«ãã£ã®ã¢, Giruti Gia?) is a series of sprite-based fighting games by Arc System Works and designed by artist Daisuke Ishiwatari. It is popular with fans for its detailed anime-style graphics, original characters, hard rock/heavy metal soundtrack, unique gameplay, and its numerous references to rock and heavy metal music.
Well has anyone ever played the GG games before?
Arguably Guilty Gear is the most unusual and yet, one of the most kickass fighting games I've ever played(Although I still like fighting games like Akatsuki Blitzkampf), with a perfectly done heavy metal atmosphere and feel, it's a great game.
And the characters are probably the most unique you'll ever see in a fighting game, from the two poster boys of the series, Sol Badguy and Ky, to the cute-looking angel, Dizzy to even the weirdest characters of the games, like the ghost-possessed Zappa and Faust, a guy who wears a bag on his head and uses a odd playstyle, that even reminded my friends of Game & Watch from Super Smash Bros. and then there's BRIDGET, of course, one of the most questionable characters in the game.(Find out for yourself, I ain't spoiling it.)
Not to mention, the gameplay is solid, with stuff for both n00bs/scrubs(no offense) and for the pros.
Unfortunately, ArcSys Works lost the rights to Sega, but despite that, they continued on with a similar game, called "BlazBlue".
Luckily, for all of you, unlike Akatsuki Blitzkampf, Guilty Gear is a series that isn't Japan-only and is mainly console-based, with games for the PSX,PS2,Wii and apperantly, one for the Xbox 360.
Nonetheless, the Guilty Gear games are great, although, if you aren't used to seeing some quirk in your video games, this may not be exactly your type of game.
