- How to have a different password everywhere and still remember it - @Baguette
Our main concern with all of our accounts is to avoid being "hacked". Usually most people will only use one or two different password, because it's hard to remember tons of different password. And if a website database is leaked, then you need to change all of your passwords, unless you have different passwords everywhere. I'll share the way i'm starting to use in order to have a different password everywhere you are asked for it, yet to be able to remember it. (Read full thread)
- CS:GO GUIDE - @Speedingdevil
Hello, i always wanted to make a CS:GO Guide to help players who are new to the game or struggle with the game mechanics. First of all i think i should tell you about my time in CSGO, i started playing and stopped after 2 or 3 rounds because of the sadly toxic community. I didn't play for a few months back in 2014 and installed the game after that time again. I played some Matchmaking games and ranked in as a Silver Elite. I played more often and it took me a while to get into Nova. At that time i added some people i met in game that i thought could be good premates to play with. I have a total of 4700 hours and it wasn't always fun. I loved and i hated the game. It took me about 2500 hours to get Supreme Master First Class and it was a nice feeling. To Kill the biggest question overall: NO your Skin won't change the condition! Factory New will stay factory new and so on. (Read full thread)

Signature analysis is based on a blacklist method. When a new malware is detected by AV analysts, a signature is issued. This signature can be based on particular code or data (ex a mutex using a specific string name). Often the signature is build based on th first executed bytes of the malicious binary. AV holds database containing millions of signatures and compares scanned code with this database. The first AV used this method; it is still used, combined with heuristic and dynamic analysis. The YARA tool can be used to easily create rules to classify and identify malwares. (Read full thread)

George Floyd death: Violence erupts on sixth day of protests
Violence has erupted in cities across the US on the sixth night of protests sparked by the death in police custody of African-American George Floyd. Dozens of cities imposed curfews, but many people ignored them, leading to stand-offs and clashes. Riot police faced off with protesters in New York, Chicago, Philadelphia and LA, firing tear gas and pepper bullets to try to disperse crowds. Police vehicles were set on fire and shops were looted in several cities. (Read full article)
Hong Kong police ban Tiananmen memorial vigil, citing Covid-19
Hong Kong police have formally banned this week’s vigil for the Tiananmen Square massacre, citing Covid-19 measures. The move had been expected, especially after the Hong Kong government extended its ban on public gatherings in groups larger than eight, but the announcement confirms that for the first time since the Chinese military killed untold numbers of protesters on 4 June 1989, there will be no commemorative event. The annual event – a sombre and peaceful affair attended by tens of thousands – is also often a vehicle for other causes. Attenders last year drew awareness to a proposed extradition bill that would draw a million people to the streets in protest just a few days later, and spark months of demonstrations. Assange misses call over hearing in UK
WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has not been seen in public for more than two months after he missed another call over hearing for health reasons in the UK. The 48-year-old failed to appear for a routine call over at the Westminster Magistrates' Court in London on Monday. Assange is fighting extradition to the US to face 17 charges of violating the US Espionage Act and one of conspiring to commit computer intrusion. District Judge Vanessa Baraitser said an email from Belmarsh prison, where the Australian has been held on remand for 253 days, explained that Assange was "refusing to attend the hearing and refusing to sign a refusal form". When the judge asked if Assange was "not showing because he is too unwell", barrister Edward Fitzpatrick said the defence team had emailed court on Friday outlining that their client had "had respiratory problems for some time". SpaceX's historic Demo-2 delivers NASA astronauts to ISS
SpaceX's Crew Dragon successfully reached the International Space Station at 7:16 a.m. PT Sunday, delivering NASA astronauts Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley on the first US spaceflight to make the journey in nine years. They boarded the ISS at 10:22 a.m. PT. The historic event was put on hold last week when weather scrubbed NASA and SpaceX's first attempt to launch astronauts to the ISS. The second attempt on Saturday got off the ground in spectacular, fiery fashion, propelling the astronauts into low Earth orbit. A series of rocket burns over the next 19 hours lifted Crew Dragon to the space station, and it docked 10 minutes ahead of schedule. (Read full article)

Zynga said on Monday it has agreed to buy Turkish mobile-game maker Peak for $1.8 billion (roughly Rs. 13,553 crores) in a cash and stock transaction, in a deal that will help the FarmVille maker boost its daily active user base by 60 percent. The deal, expected to be completed in the third quarter, will comprise $900 million (roughly Rs. 6,776 crores) in cash and $900 million (roughly Rs. 6,776 crores) in stock, Zynga said. Anonymous hackers re-emerge amid US unrest
The hacker collective was once a regular fixture in the news, targeting those it accused of injustice with cyber-attacks. After years of relative quiet, it appears to have re-emerged in the wake of violent protests in Minneapolis over the death of George Floyd, promising to expose the "many crimes" of the city's police to the world. However, it's not easy to pin down what, if anything, is genuinely the mysterious group's work. (Read full article)

Oil drops as U.S.-China tension escalate
Investors turned cautious after China warned of retaliation on U.S. moves over Hong Kong.
China has asked its state-owned firms to halt purchases of soybeans and pork from the United States, two people familiar with the matter said, after Washington said it would eliminate special U.S. treatment for Hong Kong to punish Beijing. “The possibility of heightened tensions does pose a risk for the recent rally in oil prices,” said Harry Tchilinguirian, head of commodity research at BNP Paribas. Economic concerns and questions about fuel demand recovery also weighed on oil futures. Manufacturing data on Monday showed that Asian and European factories were struggling as government-imposed lockdowns tempered demand. (Read full article)
HBO Max has bumpy start, ‘isn’t a game changer for AT&T,’ analyst says
AT&T’s newest streaming service HBO Max may be filled with DC superheroes, wizards, hobbits and Looney Tunes, but that may not be enough for investors. The new platform also faces tough comparisons with Disney+, Disney’s foray into subscription streaming, which not only had a massive number of subscribers at the time of its launch in November, but has been praised for its streamlined service and original content. “HBO Max’s launch has thus far been notably less smooth than the launch of Disney+, due to a variety of factors, including confusing branding, uncertainty about how to get the product, and limitations on how consumers can actually watch the product, particularly on television,” Vijay Jayant, analyst at Evercore ISI, wrote in a note to investors Sunday. Shopper numbers surge 36% as lockdown in England relaxed
Shoppers rushed back to high streets and retail parks on Monday as the reopening of car showrooms, markets and some Ikea stores marked the easing of lockdown restrictions in England. The number of shoppers out and about soared 36% across all retail destinations compared with last week’s bank holiday Monday, and was up 21% on Monday two weeks ago, according to analysts at Springboard. “It appears that even though only markets and car showrooms have opened today in addition to essential stores, shoppers are heading back into bricks and mortar destinations,” said Diane Wehrle, Springboard’s insights director. Mining firm Rio Tinto sorry for destroying Aboriginal caves
The Juukan Gorge caves, in the Pilbara region, were destroyed last Sunday as Rio Tinto expanded an iron ore project agreed with the authorities. Many prehistoric artefacts have been found at the remote heritage site. "We are sorry for the distress we have caused," said Chris Salisbury, the firm's iron ore chief executive. "We pay our respects to the Puutu Kunti Kurrama and Pinikura People (PKKP)," he said. The PKKP are the traditional owners of the site. "We will continue to work with the PKKP to learn from what has taken place and strengthen our partnership. As a matter of urgency, we are reviewing the plans of all other sites in the Juukan Gorge area." (Read full article)
