What is the importance of internet in your life?

I have been working with computers all my life, first as a computer programmer for an IBM S/370 mainframe. seen the development of small computers to be called PC or personal computers where before we called it micro computer. And when the internet came here in the 1990s, I already predicted that it will be the main communication line of people around the world. But I was not able to predict that social media will be the in thing and that there would be e-commerce. Now I see some people whose lives depend on the internet. And for me? Partially, I am dependent on it.
