It looks quite heated. I read a lot of things about Roussef's administration as president, some that condemn her and some that justify her. Basicaly she's a very controversial and authoritative figure, but that's not something unheard of with presidents. What seemed to be the actual cause of her being disliked by her political peers was that she was unwilling to indulge Brazil's clientelle-like corruption interractions among the goverment, as well as between the goverment and various oligarchs.
As some article once wrote "she refused to give them a share of the pie". Now that doesn't seem to be (in my humbel opinion) reason enough for Roussef to be called by huge masses to resign. The fact that there's also a strong oppositional crowd that wishes her to stay in power is complicating things. Obviously there's something that we haven't seen or calculated.
There's even a protective barrier to separate the two crowds, for God's sake! Having people fight over a president so fervently isn't something that "just happens"...
