That's how killer bacteria like the super resistant flesh eating bacteria "MERSA" were created.

You're right in the sense that we shouldn't take antibiotics for a common cold, it's best to use other methods in that case, including anti-inflammatory meds or natural anti-inflammatory concoctions. In many countries of EU strong antibiotics are not given out without prescription, so people won't shove down antibiotics like candy.
There are also restrictions about prescribing antibiotics that are shown to produce sever side-effects to children or unborn-children and many are discontinued if deemed more dangerous than beneficial, unlike the US where pharmaceutical industries are only mildly regulated by the FDA.

Thanks for the explanation.  But antibiotic does reduce our immunity power and it is worst in kids.  Yes, it will not harm you too much if you take it only occasionally.  As a matter of fact it inadvertently kills our friendly bacteria too .  The first target would be the friendly bacteria that resides in our stomach to aid digestion.  That is why antibiotics often has the side effects of diarrhea and indigestion.  It is advised to take yogurt to help our body to get back to normal.  But you should consult your doctor before taking yogurt during medication.

Nowadays you can't fully depend on your doctor. They are only concerned with the disease and how to stop it immediately.  They are not much  bothered about the aftereffects.  We as patients should be informed and should not shy away from asking the doctor for details.
