Who is a friend?

For me a friend is someone who is not blood related but still bonds with me, stands with me whether I am suffering or celebrating, is with me during thick and thin. My definition of friend is someone who follows you like your shadow.

True, a friend should be someone who isn't blood related but can accept them as one.

I would only class about 10 people I know as friends & the rest of the people I know as acquaintances as I don't see them on a daily basis.

Very true. I've had many ''friends'' that become envious when something good happens to me in instead of them. They should be happy for their friend. At that point, they aren't friends.

My definition of a friend is someone who is there for you through thick and thin. This is what I thought I had known until things started to go downhill for me, I found out who was really a so-called 'friend' to me.  Let me say it's a lonely world. I now use the word 'friend' very lightly.  I actually thank goodness for everything coming out that way I know exactly who to trust.

Yes. When you're down and out, that is when your true friends reveal themselves and it's sometimes unexpected.
