You can't really change a person's emotions or their aspect on life. If she indeed believe every word her mom says then you just have to find a way to deal with it. Nothing comes out of it, if you just wait and want her to change according to your picture.

Find a job, show her your good side, show her mom your good side, even though she still might not approve it will help.
