Hello everyone! This is an explanatory, in-depth tutorial I've made on how to be a good and high quality member/poster!
These are the Seven Necessities!

1. Remember that members will have different opinions and beliefs besides your own. This is something the internet and forums show you, different experiences, religious beliefs, and backgrounds. Learn from these other opinions, and respect them. It's alright to have a debate, but remember there's a human you are talking with on the other side.

2. Enjoy yourself, read the Help Docs, and engage in posting. If you think you are getting pissed about a thread, or you are just sitting at your desk bored out of your mind, find something else to do. The forums will still be here when you return, and hopefully you'll have something awesome to share with us when you come back.

3. Understand that people will make mistakes. We're all humans. Remember when you first started posting on internet forums, and what a frightening moment it was to hit that "Post" button? Be understanding to the members around you and don't be so quick to shun someone for making a mistake. Offer to help them out, and you might just discover a new friend.

4. Don't create spam threads, or spam posts. The only person who thinks that it's cool is you, the person who made it. The rest of the members look at it and think "How sad is this person?"

5. When you are agitated, depressed, etc., you may come across more different than you think. I've posted when I was in a shit mood, and 90% of the time, it'll bite me in the ass. If you have the need to post when you're in a bad mood, read over your posts before actually posting them to make sure they can't be taken the wrong way by anyone.

6. Experience life outside of the internet and you will find you have much more to discuss. If you're staring at your monitor wondering "what kind of thread should I make today," then you're concentrating too much.

7. Remember that you are not the only person on the forums. If someone is really happy about their new car, don't be a dick and say "Well, my car is faster than yours!" Allow that person to enjoy themselves, and be happy.

Thank you for reading, and I hope you enjoyed this thread!
