What is Social Engineering *DeLiLa's Definition*:
Social Engineering is where you use your words and basic knowledge to convince someone you are someone else, or you know very much about something else.
Such as, if I where to walk into a coffee dressed up in a suit, and said I own a magazine company and I was wondering if I could get a free sample of your finest brew!
Said it without any hesitation or without any bumps or Uh's in your speaking!
How to use Social Engineering Properly:
To make sure you Properly Social Engineer, be prepared on what you are about to discuss or talk about. Read up a little bit on the topic of what you are talking about and try and sound like you are being serious. Don't act like you being serious, you need to be serious. If you try and sound like, or act like you are being serious, you will hit a flaw in your conversation and you will loose the listeners belief or idea that you are who are acting like or, know what you are talking about.
What might you use Social Engineering for:
There is a lot of things. There are in-fact Black-hat and White-hat ways of using it.
A both Black and White-Hat way would be to DOX someone, or find out there information.
Black-Hat scam someone into giving you money or downloading a infected program
White-Hat to convince someone into buying your product or into checking something out!
Conclusion:
