Most of you have atleast one old laptop laying around the house. Lately, I've been cleaning viruses/malware off of old computers and bringing them back up to speed. It's actually usually very simple to do, without paying a professional big bucks.

Step One:
Clean out your vents and keyboard (if you're using a laptop) using some compressed air, or a lightly damp rag.

Step Two:
Manually look through your files and look for obvious viruses. In most cases, you can right click>delete the file, but in more extreme cases, you will need additional software. That leads us to step 3.

Step Three:
Install a malware remover and a crap cleaner.
I like to use Malwarebytes and CCcleaner. there are different programs out there, but those are free. And then run those programs to remove all viruses/insecurities. This may take a long time, but be patient. Inside of MalwareBytes, there are advanced tools to remove viruses.

Step Four:
Look for any non-malicious processes/programs that you'd like to get rid of. These can sometimes hog up your RAM. The best way to do this is to simply start your task manager and look at your processes.

Step Five:
Your computer is even faster than ever now, hopefully. Insure that it will stay that way! A good program to do this is System Mechanic. It provides up-to-the-minute reports of your computer. Some antivirus protection is useful too! There are good programs, free and paid, that will help protect your computer.

Hope this guide helped ya'll!!
