Having Satanic symbols on your music, sparks the right amount of controversy for you to make the news, you make the news and you are exposed to teenagers, and kids. Teenagers are bound to be rebellious so they will listen to the music because they know they are not supposed to. Therefore being a very smart market strategy.

Mainstream music is not focused on talent, or even message. It is focused on getting sales, which they do by adding this. However the point of the thread is not how bad mainstream music is, the point is that what they are using to spark controversy is erroneous and it gives a very false image on Satanism, as a Satanist myself I cringe more than often at the ignorance force fed to people. People are lazy and conformist so they will believe anything people tell them and not research it themselves.

I agree with you on this, as a market strategy, it would be smart. I am just annoyed at the lack of talent or message in today's music (as you said), and quite disappointed that modern teenagers fall for this stupid shit with the whole "rebellious" act. If you want to be rebellious, go listen to Heavy Metal at least. I'd rather look rebellious rather than rebellious AND dumb for listening to such petty music. Trust me kids, Heavy Metal will get your parents awful sore :)!
