That is just this afternoon. And one guy. Problem is there is about 5+ guys doing this.
You could argue that it's nice to inform people about the help docs etc but do you really think this is why they spam the same reply to everyone? And if somebody was planning on reading the help docs they would have already done so.

I think the quality of the introduction section could go up a lot if we avoided these spammers and had people actually tailor there replies according to what they guy actually introducing himself said.
