The Mindset of A Serial Killer

Many people say that Charles Manson should be considered a serial killer, because he is responsible for the deaths of so many people. But what people don't know or refuse to acknowledge, is that Manson never committed the murders himself. He always had someone else do it. He was the leader, so to speak.
Watching his interviews, and reading things he's said and done, just astonishes me. (I'm a sucker for a good serial killer's brain)
I remember watching a really low quality interview where he said that he didn't want to get out of prison. He KNOWS he isn't safe. Whether it's from himself, or other people, was unclear. Manson KNOWS what he's done, he's aware of it. He acknowledges it.
And of course, he has that crazy look in his eye that psycho-lovers like me fangirl over.


Then there's John Wayne Gacy. I've always been afraid of clowns, but when I first saw the movie made about his life, it just got worse from there. Now, don't get me wrong, he's still considered a serial killer, and I would still love to pick apart his mind, BUT. I can't look at that face paint. I recall Gacy saying this about killing: "[After the first one murder] I did it because it feels good."

There are many different "forms" of serial killers in this world, and each mindset could be completely different.
Or, they could be so alarmingly similar, we never even realize it.

TLTD; Every serial killer's mindset is different in some aspect. It may not be a large, obvious aspect, but it's there. And it's time people start paying attention to it.
