Since the section can be about mental health as well as physical, I feel this is the right place to post this thread. If anyone disagrees, just pm me and I can move it to wherever is necessary.

Anyway!

Anxiety is taken too lightly these days. When someone tells someone that their anxiety is bothering them, the other person naturally says, "Everyone gets anxious sometimes. It's normal." or "Stop over-thinking things."
But what if that person really does suffer from anxiety? What if something in their mind doesn't always add up?
Anxiety is like a monster; it takes over your life, and it doesn't go away no matter how hard to fight it. You can conquer it temporarily, you can learn to live and cope with it, but it's ALWAYS there, lurking in your mind, waiting to take it's hold on you once again.

It just really frustrates me that people don't take anxiety as a diagnosed disorder seriously. Anxiety effects every aspect of one's life.
Being diagnosed with anxiety, I know that it's a very scary thing to live with.

So, what are your thoughts & opinions on anxiety, Perkies?
