California has way better Mexican food, because as a resident of this state, California is practically North Mexico. There are so many Mexicans living here, and so much Mexican culture running rampant. It's crazy.

P.S. For extra proof, check this out.

La Taqueria, San Francisco
Guelaguetza, Los Angeles
Las Cuatro Milpas, San Diego
Babita Mexicuisine, Los Angeles
Ricky’s Tacos, Los Angeles
La Super Rica Taqueria, Santa Barbara, CA
Nido, Oakland, CA
La Casita Mexicana, Los Angeles

Eight out of 32 restaurants listed on this article that is titled "Best Mexican Restaurants in the U.S.", are from California. Tell me that's just a coincidence? Heh heh, nope.

What you call 'mexican food' is actually totally different than real mexican food. You have a generally mild Baja style mexican food.
