Honestly I care to little to even get into it, as people who are of any religion tend to always come back with something revolving around faith or "the book says this". Ultimately I've never been shown proof. If I just met you and asked you to close your eyes, I might feed something to you.. would you do it? Probably not. You don't know if I'm going to feed you or not, and you don't know what I'm going to feed you. I suppose with God it's easier. You don't have anything to lose, but something to believe in. I also believe it's a way to live more comfortably, believing after death there's an alternative. Personally I can understand that, and wish I actually thought the same way. I am obsessed with death. I love it but don't want it to come.
Let me ask this: Why are you not an Atheist?
Thats a fair enough reply, I respect your views.
I am not an Atheist for many reasons:
- I believe god makes no sense apart from serving and following Christ, we have no purpose otherwise really.
- Ive seen miracles happen by prayer (Ive seen a woman in a wheelchair in a morning service get up and walk out)
- I left the church for a while got into drinking , partying, sleeping around the whole lot - But I realised I dont want to waste my life, why not give it to Christ?
- I can’t help but see the biblical stories of Creation, Fall, and Redemption echoed in every play, every work of art, every human story, every drama, every movie, and the news I read each day.
- I love to see people be lead to god, its such a pleasing thing to see people lifting their problems to god and awesome things happening. (Woman in poverty, house about to be repossessed, cant get a job because of qualifications - come next sunday house is not being repossessed anymore, she got a job and she received a big donation from a couple of churches around our area working together)
- Oh plus, people may say there is no evidence and guaranteed there may not be. EVER, but thats the point in faith, I feel like ive had connections with god and ive had chains on my heart broken by him - Hes talked to me before and commanded me to do things and Ive gone and done them.
