I can imagine it'd be motivating. Not because it' what society finds acceptable, but it's what it finds attractive (Yes, there are outliers). Instead of pouting and becoming depressed like 21st century, entitled brats would do for attention, I'd probably start eating healthier, getting exercise...etc
It's also no surprise that the gov./media has been molding the society a certain way for quite some time. Recently, there has been an influx of feminine, young men, and self-entitled, modern feminists. And then you look at all the of things advertised. Long haired, teenage-boy stars, and hairless, pretty male models. Most teen girls growing up now find that emasculated look/behavior attractive.
It's unfortunately not that easy for some, I played football and basketball in highschool, I played baseball all summer every summer and was on a diet gave to me by a licensed nutritionist for three years and was still never lost any weight, I had a slow metabolism and it didn't matter what I did. Some people simply can't help it and even if they could they've made it cheaper to go buy a meal at MCdicks than to go buy something healthy.. smh
