Why are you not a Christian?

There may be a higher power but for me I'm a little on the fence

It's asking for blind faith in something you can't see/hear/feel/touch and you're just supposed to accept that he works in mysterious ways? That bad things continuously happen to good people to test their faith. So if there is a God and you believe in him why would he try and test you? You already believe, why shake the faith?

And then I am met with well he tests you so he can give you better blessings..is not being a good person enough? Is not going out of your way to help someone not good enough?

There is too much bad happening to people that I know are honestly good for their to be a God testing them.

On the other hand I feel that maybe if I did believe, things would line up for me.

Supposedly. I don't believe, but I don't not believe....if that makes sense.

God doesn't test us, god gave man free will and we sinned therefore there is sin in the world.

Elaborate on too much work? I balance my religion, job and school with free time - I dont see how its time consuming

Going to church every Sunday? Ya rite. I like to catch up on sleep on the weekends. I don't see the point of going somewhere to read a book. Meanwhile I can do the same thing at home but I don't like reading at home anyways. Therefore I could care less about religion as I don't need to be side tracked even more.

You are severely misunderstood about church then, when I go to my denomination there is very little bible and its more worship then a preach around the bible which isn't reading the book and its nurturing you in the word.

This is honestly the same thing I said. You don't have to go sit in Church to read the Bible, that you could do it at home. Besides most people go to church now to show off their clothing. Or to compare cars or who has the new what....

Hebrews 10:25 says - 'not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.' So you kind of have t go to church, as you get to hear the lords word and share with one another.

Plus that is also misinformed, I have never noticed that in my church - its just when athesists are solid on thinking that the church steal money from people for the pastor's good. No this is not true, my pastor pays each staff member accordingly (Youth pastor, kids pastor, interns and administration) then the rest is put back into the church getting new equipment buying bibles for everyone etc. My main pastor does not live in a fancy house, he lives in a standard 3 bedroom house with 2 children and his wife.
