Does Gaming Kill?

Let's look at this from a historical perspective.  A hundred or so years ago, a rural child at 6 or 7, would be killing animals.  Skinning them and the whole deal.  They'd know about sex--from the animals.  And they'd also probably have watched some of their siblings die from various diseases.  An urban child?  At 9 or so, they'd have already been at work for a few years.  they probably would have been in real fights.  They'd probably seen a few major crimes.

Now compare that to now.  Fake violence. 

Society as a whole wants to completely get rid of violence and crime, and video games contribute (however little) to that factor. Not making violent videogames readily available to minors, violence in reality will most definitely decrease, though doubtfully a large amount. There is no actual 'need' to play violent video games, so I have no objection to reducing their availability to minors.
