Christainity Or Atheism?

First comment: You guys need to work on your spelling. It's Christianity and Atheism.

I believe that God is not Jesus and that he is a spirit. Jesus Christ was a man and a spirit such as God can not be a man. Also God is perfect, why would he be a human being that is not perfect.

If God can do anything, can he become a perfect man? As far as the Bible proclaims, that man Jesus was perfect. Never sinned.

Its Atheism btw I believe in science not a scientologist but I dont really believe in a \"God\"

Science is the the study of anything through observation and experiments. If given enough observation, one could say that an outside influence resulted in the creation of the heavens.

Earth started as a rock with a few living cells on it or something, after the land formed and stuff. Then it began to go through Mitosis which is how cells divide to make new cells. Then the cells slowly became today's organisms. Evolution takes a loooooooooooooooooooooong time. Thousands, if not millions of years.

Many problems with that theory. First one: Earth started as a rock with a few living cells out of. So out of the blue there was randomly Earth and it had living cells.
This is where that theory fails, in finding the origin. Perhaps it was a collision that caused a big bang. Where'd the collision come from. Too many holes, too many guesses and too many inferences. Oh yeah, and a lack of proof as well as confirmed belief through circular reasoning.

I personally find religion to be \"conflicting\" whereas having no religion just gives you freedom. Of course, you are free to believe in what you want and what you worship.

Sometimes being restricted gives you more freedom than ever imaginable. Take for example, a teenage girl pregnant. Unrestricted and allowed to party whenever and with whoever. Now imagine if that girl was restricted due to a belief system. Imagine her not having to carry a baby and ruin the next 10 years of her life. She would have had much more freedom...  that girl was my sister.

Man is a creation of evolution. God is a creation of man. We as a species many years ago were amazed and puzzled at how the world around us worked and why. But for our lack of intelligence we could not find the answers. And so, being that we created the idea of \"God\" This is before christianity, polytheism, and the like. Back when we were hunting mammoths and eating in caves. Our minds created the idea of god, and now we are in the era that we are outgrowing and throwing off our ridiculous superstition, much like a child throws off his fear of monsters in his closet.

You speak with certainty. God isn't a creation of man. Either the god is the man or the God is the one who created the universe. It's not that we created it, it's how behaved due to it. Evolution is a theory. Backed by circular reasoning and inferences.
Even carbon dating gets skewed when going past a few thousand years.
Perhaps the idea of no God is so compelling cause everyone wants to be their own god.

Jerenz, why does there have to be a god? Maybe the answer or reasoning behind the existence of these things are beyond our comprehension at the moment, even they may never be known. However why does that mean we have to have a god to create all this?

If god creating the universe, and before there was nothing, than how was god existing when he created the universe, and all that existed? Spontaneous generation? By saying there has to be a god, your also saying there has to be a force mightier than god himself to create \"god\" yet in the christian and other faiths, \"god\" is almighty, all-powerful, and yet, you say there is a force higher than god?

Logic, my friend. Either there is a God who we know as the God of the Bible. Or the universe is God. I think most of us would prefer a God who loves rather than a God who is indifferent.
One or the other had to exist and always exist. One exclusive detail is the Hubble Telescope. Through it's research we realized that the Universe is expanding. Rewind. If it's expanding there must have been a starting point. If there was a starting point then the Universe didn't always exist. So something had to be there before the Universe in order to create it.

There's a difference between looking at select verses out of context and actually studying in context. The Bible is a giant love story of intimacy between you and God.

The theory of evolution was founded by many years of observation by Charles Darwin(who was a firm christian himself.) and has been supported by more modern studies of fossils in the ground, dating back many millions of years. Not insinuations, or assumptions. Observations.

Solid proof of god: irrefutable proof of the existence of a god(s) or deity in it's own right.

You give me blocks of text saying how there IS a god, and how I don't have any proof that there isn't a god. So where is your proof that there is?

Fun fact, Darwin noticed natural selection and blew it into massive proportions. The birds of the Guadalupe islands were changed due to climate change. How? Offspring were dying and the ones that survived mated, in effect building up a certain gene that gave them a longer beak. Darwin noticed this and said if their beak can change then perhaps they can get longer legs, turn pink and become flamingos.
Funny thing, when the climate went back to normal, so did the birds. Turns out that Genes are like computer code. They can be activated through certain conditions but once they are destroyed, they are gone. Things just don't come out of nothing. Including Genes. Don't expect a computer program to be written by random strokes of the keyboard.

There are many things that we humans can't answer. One of those things is religion. There is no clear and definitive answer to religion; you just go with what you believe in.

There is only one true answer. It takes observation and an open mind to discover it.

Think God appered when unexplainable situations occured and the simples awnser was \"God did it\".

Sometimes the only real answer is an outside influence. Some things don't occur naturally: Parting of a sea, destruction of a giant wall through instruments, and even healing through the touching of a hand.
All these events are heavily documented in many books through many different eye witnesses. It's hard to refute the combined evidence even if it seems too surrealistic.
