When playing games, do you go after achievements/trophies/medals etc.?

When I used to play games religiously years ago, I was always spending my time chasing those XBOX achievement pop-ups for the most insane things, like killing 53,000 zombies or killing ten people with some obscure weapon. Nowadays, I don't really tend to go for them unless it's a game that I'm really into because I spend more time trying to get these pointless achievements versus actually playing the game.

What about you? Are you a trophy hunter or do you prefer to just 'play' the game itself?
