Bullying was such a huge problem a couple of years back but due to the attention it has gotten today, it has finally calmed down.

Perhaps in some places it has, but as a whole it has not while looking at our currently available data. Suicide is still the leading cause of death for teenagers, and British studies have suggested that at least 50% of suicides have some influence by bullying. Although the most recent data by the CDC is 4 years old, we also know that in 2010 the suicide rate for teenagers was increasing in both the ≤ 14 years and the 15-24 age groups.
Without more current data from the CDC we can not determine if the effects of bullying are slowing, so we can not determine if the act of bullying is becoming less present.

It seems so in school systems today bullying is horrible. If someone doesn't have certain clothes, skin color, and/or material things, they will not have friends. It's how society is, some people bring bullying on their selves by making certain decisions. Some bullying is horrible but I do believe some bullying is brought on some people for a reason.

Bullying has not calmed down, the media has stopped covering it as much because maybe they realize that they are not helping get rid of it it at all. I know many people that have gone so far as to hurting themselves to make them feel better. If anything at all bullying has gotten worse.

I've always been the laid-back, relaxed, nice guy my entire life so I have a certain distaste towards those who like to put others down. I've had my own insecurities throughout my life, and instead of amplifying other peoples' insecurities in an effort to mask mine, it has actually made me a more understanding individual. You won't catch my in a group setting participating with others while we giggle and laugh at someones' misfortune that is out of their control. I wouldn't want to be treated that way and I won't subject others to that torment. It aches me knowing others don't feel this same way, and we couldn't all just get along.
I guess I've always been a treat people the way you want to be treated kind of guy. Although that gets me pushed around quite often, I still stand by my morals, and understand the immaturity and harmful insecurities of others will pass one day and not blame them for human nature. Just laugh it off because I can handle it.

I hate bullying with a burning passion. I was bullied from mid-elementary school, through middle school, and it finally ended my junior year of high school. Bullying is one of the worst things that happens in schools, the workplace, etc. It needs to be stopped. I know it can't be stopped literally, but I try to do everything in my own power.
All forms of bullying are wrong and immature.
I just. Hate. Bullying.

Bullies are parasitic to humans. Most people dislike them but don't know how to deal with them. I believe many people lack the self. The self is fragmented, and they haven't constructed a strong self co-conscious. They aren't what they desire to be, someone who would like to stand up to the bully, reason with the bully and use the correct words to make everyone get along.
