I don't understand how him saying the site looks great and wanting to meet new friends makes him come off as an asshole, i really don't.

It's an assumption. I honestly have yet to see. Stop trying to prove me wrong, let HIM prove me wrong by being a good member. Stop defending people just because they're in your usergroup.

I'm Guessing the reason for him instantly getting in is because he is a friend of Dignus. That would also explain him "defending" him.
