yup.. to hide from my ISP. and sometimes, i get better speed when visiting (servers hosted) in certain countries

I would.. the hit on speed is worth protecting personal data/info.

Of course, you kind of have to but then again lots of VPN services lie. It isn't too difficult for people to setup their own VPN using a VPS also so keep that in mind. I think people would be shocked at the level of tracking done on the average civilian/citizen, never mind the criminal elements.

Most of the time I dont use a VPN simply because I have 200mb down/ 50 u

vpns are useful for streaming region blocked content :)
