First Regional Athletic Meet

We belong to Region VI, Western Visayas in the Philippine archipelago. Recently by the virtue of legislation as duly approved by the House of Representatives and the House of Senate, our region was divided to give way to create another region. Thus Negros Island Region (NIR) was created.

So in the history of Negros Island Region, first regional athletic meet is held in the capital city of the island, Bacolod City. It is a week-long athletic competition of the selected athletes in the various schools division of the island. And it would culminate on Friday.

We are happy that we have a successful meet in our newly created region, the Negros Island Island.

I haven't had any similar competition to this one, but it actually looks very fun, interconnected and diverse. Maybe I will look something like this up so I could be a part of it.
