We  know how badly hurt some crowd control police officers get when an angry crowd of protesters starts a riot. Crowd control police where usually equipped by a shield  and a stick so they can control an angry mob of people.  We know these cops are not allowed to use violence to control an angry crowd and they were only allowed to fight back if they have gone hostile.

In India a Police force there decided to use a non conventional method to make the protesters go away. They use slings with spicy chili balls as ammunition.  :D

Chili balls won't injure a person but it can cause temporary pain that can make them run away.  Capsaicin in the skin hurts like you are wounded but it is pretty much harmless. It is just pain that can be washed away by milk or water.

Pardon the laughter but are you serious with that post? Just recently there was a crowd control problem here in the southern Philippines when the protesting farmers flexed their muscle and fought with the cops. There were gunshots and several farmers lay dead. But those gunshots were fired when the fireman's hose failed to control the protesters.

And those slingshots will be no match to the big stones and bottles that are thrown by the protesters.

That sounds a good idea but I have yet to come across one such crowd control method. However, I have heard a lot of water cannons and rubber bullets when the crowds go out of control.

Any good protester is fully covered. I doubt that'll work very well.
