The Presidential candidates of the Philippines for May 9 elections have reduced to 5 from the original aspirants of 6.

The untimely death of OFW partylist representative Roy Señeres Sr who was succumbed to cardiac arrest due to a complication of his disease, diabetes had reduced the Presidential bets.

The presidential aspirants may now include the following:

1 Jejomar Binay
2 Miriam Defensor Santiago
3 Rodrigo Duterte
4 Grace Poe
5 Mar Roxas

You forgot to mention your take on the upcoming presidential elections. Assuming that Grace Poe is not disqualified by the Comelec, who do you think will win? And who do you want to win?

My opinion on the personalities
1. Grace Poe – OUT - had been a US citizen so she is disqualified in my list
2. Jojo Binay – OUT - tainted with corruption issues that he wouldn’t answer
3. Mar Roxas – OUT – a good lapdog of President Aquino, has no backbone
4. Rodrigo Duterte – IN – has the guts
5. Miriam Santiago – OUT – very sick and cannot govern anymore

Here is my prediction on the survey at the moment – 1) Poe because of her popular endorsers 2) Binay for his untiring campaigning 3) Duterte is now gaining ground 4) Roxas sliding for his stand on the SSS pension increase 5) Miriam

Based on news, polls, popularity or however the Philippine presidential hopefuls are gaining people's favor, who is winning? May the right person to lead and protect your country and your people be put in place as President of the Philippines.

Please let us know about any developments and write about it.

Thanks!

Here are my personal opinion as to the feasibility of winning those presidential best mentioned:

1. Grace Poe – OUT - for disqualification issue
2.  Jojo Binay – OUT - for graft and corruption issues
3.  Mar Roxas – IN – Roxas family as far as statemanship, government service is concerned, their integrity is above board
4.  Rodrigo Duterte – OUT – not fitted for a high public position for his bad attitude
5.  Miriam Santiago – OUT – lame duck keeps on squeaking but won't last long

I don't believe on survey which in any manner couldn't be converted to actual votes. It doesn't represent the entirety of the voting populace or the electorate. Mar Roxas is a sure winner. Duterte would be publicly in disgrace.

Don't you worry. You will be informed right away. As of this writing, those presidentiables are very busy campaigning to places, conducting forums and "meting de avance". There is a report recently that one of the candidates, Duterter was rushed to the nearby hospital after suffering a painful migraine while about to attend a rally for his campaign. He was not able to proceed as expected. Instead, he was sent to comforting room near the place of rally and later rushed to the hospital for treatment. It was learned that some of his pending rallies may be put off while he is having an ample time to rest.

The election is less than a week and it is very clear that Duterte is the crux of the matter. It is like Duterte or bust. Obviously everyone is ganging up on Duterte who is still leading the surveys at 33%. Poe is far second at 22. And Mar Roxas is jubilating since he increased from 18 to 20. It is pathetic for Roxas who seemed disillusioned at what's happening. There is even one headline that says Roxas is catching up at Duterte. What?
