Obama has warned Russia not to do this, could this be the beginning of a military conflict?

"KIEV, Ukraine (AP) — Russian troops took over Crimea as the parliament in Moscow gave President Vladimir Putin a green light Saturday to use the military to protect Russian interests in Ukraine. The newly installed government in Kiev was powerless to react to the action by Russian troops based in the strategic region and more flown in, aided by pro-Russian Ukrainian groups.
Putin sought and quickly got his parliament's approval to use its military to protect Russia's interests across Ukraine. But while sometimes-violent pro-Russian protests broke out Saturday in a number of Russian-speaking regions of eastern Ukraine, Moscow's immediate focus appeared to be Crimea.

Ignoring President Barack Obama's warning Friday that "there will be costs" if Russia intervenes militarily, Putin sharply raised the stakes in the conflict over Ukraine's future evoking memories of Cold War brinkmanship."

Yea, I got sick of seeing "Justin Bieber arrested!" "Justin Bieber bails out of jail again!" but idk I think its a bad move going against the US military on russia's part if they do go to war or some smaller conflict.

I'd do the same if a country such as Ukraine was a neighbor and was in a shit storm like they are. I'd take that opportunity and put military in there (hopefully peacefully) and put in a new government.

Sucks it's Russia doing this and can see some shit coming their way soon by the UN.

The UN is the least of their problems if the US gov't decides to send in their military.

I'm in the US military and can say we won't send our infantry over there for something as piety as this. It will be just like Georgia and we'll shun and give restrictions on them.

So, I figured I would let everyone know about the new news.
Ukraine is now mobilizing their military, and is asking for support from NATO, right now there is only talk of putting economics sanctions on Russia.

It very well could, if my country, or another makes a wrong move.
Russia is one of the largest nuclear superpowers on this planet.

If something goes wrong, we could see the end of man, or a massive world war.
