There is a Mybb fix for this on the forum. It's quite easy and pretty sure it's free.

Lol thanks. I try to be funny about things c: I enjoy making people laugh, even if it's just by making a few silly remarks here and there.

I think the term for that is quote-pyramiding.

The quoting system is part of the mods you install through ACP the default limit is 3 maybe if you set it to 1 it might stop i haven't been an ACP since 2011 so i imagine its different now but if you still have tabs look on general tab maybe on left side should be something like post settings look for maximum nested settings
