Well, I decided to spark a debate here.
What do you think? Public vs. private schools

I personally think that private schools are greedy, and public schools are the way to go.
I mean, yes, sometimes private schools can be of higher quality, but for the price, I don't feel it's much more.

I go to a private school and I know some people who go to private schools, they say that its VERY expensive and its just like the public school they used to go to.
Public School is the daddy of Private Schools

I'd like to say Public Schools are better as there's more diversity generally and you'll meet people of different economic backrounds and such
Not just rich white kids.

In my area the public schools perform better than the private schools. I could go to a private school if I wanted to but the price my parents would pay for no to very little increase in my education would not be worth it at all

Personally, I've gone to public schools my whole life. But, my brother went to private schools his whole entire life and to be honest I am glad I never went to one. The reason being is they're a lot more strict than public schools, but with private I feel like you'd get a better education because you're paying for it in a way where the teachers are a lot better then public education. For instance if you went to a public school as with a private school a lot of the teachers to be honest to me it looks like they don't really care about their job as much.

Neither. Independent Study is better than both. Independent Study and Private Schools are on par though, since Private Schools allow you to socialize and find friends easier, but Independent Study is free. Public School is garbage. Period. There is little to no benefits that make it worth attending public education. I'm sorry, but that is my harsh and blunt opinion.

also, this post is ignorant. Saying that you will ONLY meet rich white kids in private schools is the dumbest thing I've heard in a while.

I'd prefer public schools, there's no reason to pay expensive tuitions for anything that isn't college.
Only thing going to a private school gets you most of the time is the fact you can say your family could afford to send you to one. (Also private schools usually have uniforms which I couldn't deal with.)
And even if my family could afford to have sent me to one why would I want to do it anyways?
Plenty of other things you can do with all that money you're paying to a private school.

You get both expensive public and private schools, good public and private schools, and rubbish public and private schools. Public sounds better to me. I have a mental image of private catholic schools being very harsh which weighed my decision the other way.
