I wouldn't say they're idiots.
They just have a strong opinion.

Many people are subject to the thoughts of characters in a show or their parents, ect. They are not all stupid, but are very impressionable and so they assume what they see is true. People also gain these thoughts because they never go into the world, so they never learn what people are like.

Quote:Even so, you're still racist.
As Cognition wrote in his post "Racist - a person who believes that a particular race is superior to another." People tend to define people who think black and white people are different to be racists, though this is not the case. Same goes for men and women. They are simply different in many ways, which doesn't means they aren't equal, just different. Don't let the few racists blur your vision about this fact. I, for example, think black and white people are different in many ways though I love black people as much as white people.
Quote:There is no correlation to behavior due to race. Every gene in a person's body is chosen at random, and the only thing that can predict the outcome is the parent's genetics. Race is a gene in itself, and has no effect on the outcome of the rest of the person's genes. Race has nothing to do with behavior.
Quote:It's a coincidence that a lot of black people happen to be violent. It's all a coincidence, my friend. There is little to no science behind your reasoning.

Genes are genes my friend. Their skin color is determined by genes just as many other things, not by coincidence. Many Asians have a very limited population of the enzyme which digests Lactose. This, for example, is also gene based and not coincidence.
Besides this, living conditions have a great impact on the way a baby shapes into a human being. Many 'bad' neighborhoods have much more issues with violence and drugs and also many of these neighborhoods have a great percentage of black people. This isn't because of the black people but because of the way the society in the time of slavery saw black people.
All in all, black and white people are different, though equal.

Racism is flat out wrong, discriminating against people because of the colour of their skin or their ethnic background. It frustrates me.

Fair enough, he is a person who discriminates. That's still as bad as a racist in my eyes. And sure, you're right. Genes affecting appearance happen to be based on the race of the PARENTS. If genes affected behavior, then think about this. If two really shitty black parents that were always arguing and being pissed off had a kid, and as soon as the kid was born, they dropped the day old child off at the firestation. The child goes to live with two, well-rounded, friendly civilians who raise him extremely well. You're telling me that this child is going to just naturally be angry? No. What you COULD say is: Black parents tend to raise their children poorly, so they end up to be gangsters involved in violence and drugs. That's a coincidence that causes the coincidence of a high amount of violence and gangsters coming from black families/neighborhoods. But it's all just coincidences, that a lot of black families happen to be poor. But no 100% African American child that is born with shit parents, and immediately given to be raised in a perfect family/neighborhood is going to naturally be like "FUCK YOU NIGGA, SELLIN WEED DAWG! 420 BLAZE IT, SHOOT A BITCH YEAAAAH."
I rest my case.

This is the nature nurture debate. What is nature what is nurture? Genes lay the foundation while the environment of one determines the effect these genes have in many cases. And still, there is just a small level of coincidence. If a child like you pictured got adopted it isn't coincidence how the baby evolves. Nature, nurture.

My point is that race has have nothing to do with behavior. It's how you raise the person is what determines that.
This can be compared to the debate that bully dog breeds (such as Pitbulls) are vicious. I myself have two Pitbulls, a mother and a daughter. Neither of them are vicious, and they become scared, tuck their ears down, and slowly walk away from me when people are angry. Sometimes they even begin to shake in fear. You could do anything to my often called "vicious" pitbulls, and it'd take them quite a while to react.

True, though as a counter-argument the personality of one dog can be very different compared to the personality from another dog. Also, there are significant differences in dog personalities across breeds. That's why Golden Retrievers are such family loving dogs and why Pitbulls are not, though it can be the exact opposite when educated properly when still the foundations are different.

Thank you here Witzig, you pretty much cleared it up.
"Meh", your turning this into a nuture vs. nature arguement, or in common references, homosexuality is a choice/born with.
We are EQUAL, but we are not the SAME. It's not a coincidence, there enzymes you might have that I don't because of the color of your skin and like I said before.
I can't PROVE anything but there is definitly suggestive evidence pointing towards it.
