Why do so many American politicians say this at the end of a speech?

1. It sounds good.

That's what most people really care for, the artificial shit, they want their leaders to look and sound good before delving into the evil details.

2. It brings up nationalist ideals

A good way to gain support in your country, making dumb people feel empowered for just being part of a strong country.




Personally I think the saying is trickery, and if I heard someone saying it I would then be very cautious of them.

Cause "God Bless America" sounds better than "Satan Bless America", "I Fuck America" or "Satan Fucks America"

It's to inspire patriotism and nationalism in the people of a country. The phrase helps unite people and feel proud to be apart of America. I personally don't feel that it's any sort of deception. It's just a good way to bring a country together. But you know what WAS deception?
