What are your opinions on poetry?
Favorite type? Do you even like it?

I firmly believe in expression through poetry, i myself write poetry a few times a week. From the age of 12 to 19 i wrote and wrote and wrote poems day in and day out. My sister and i collaborated and came up with an idea for a book of poetry where as my poems are dark and depressive, and my sisters poems are very light and serene almost giving a sense of solace and relaxation where we were to combine both forms of poetry in a light vs dark book one side being her poems and you physically flip the book over and upside down and my dark poems are present. I believe self expression through poetry is an excellent outlet for anyone to partake in.

Poetry is alright, but I don't necessary like it. I'm neutral with it.

However, I think it's a respectable gift to be able to write good poetry, and very few individuals can produce nicely written poetry. It's a form of art.

Scottish poetry is horrible, was forced to read it out loud in primary if you couldn't put on a heavy Scottish accent you would surely lose. Never did like Robert Burns.

It can be entirely beautifually gorgeously elegantly exellent, or just fucking 9th-layer-of-hell terrible. As for favorite type, I generally like haiku (good ones, not all), and the occasional limerick.

I've spent the last six months analyzing poetry in my English Literature class, I can't stand poetry anymore.

I write poems often, and songs occasionally. Really I don't have a favorite type or style, just write what comes to mind, and how I feel.

Personally poetry is a gateway to releasing my emotions, and feelings. I personally, like it. These are all of the forms I like:
  • Limerick
  • Haiku
  • Free Verse
  • Rap

Spoken word, I especially love Christian spoken word - A friend of mine is a great artist, and I love listening to him
