Greeting, as you may already know, the tittle is complete sarcasm. The link between Pop or mainstream music overall and Satanism is non-existent. Most conspiracy theorists claim that the music industry has a satanic agenda, and hopes to reel in teenagers to serve them and deny the existence of God. These outrageous claims are being fueled by complete ignorance. If you read satanic literature, both Atheistic and Theistic you would know that Satanism does not cater to the masses, all Satanist oppose being part of the masses, all satanic religions focus on the self, which is why all of the religions focus on self-empowerment, whether it be with a deity or without one.
Really, Conspiracy theorists focus on the Christian point of view on Satanism, Christians claimed Satan and his people will attempt to rule the world and condemn everybody to eternal suffering which is not at all what Satanism is. They go based on popular beliefs about Satanism instead of not being a sheep and reading about it. Ironic isn't it? They call people out for being sheep and they are the biggest ones? In fact the whole conspiracy theory is a very ridiculous Idea. They are the ones spreading the fear and promoting the things they oppose. They are working for the people they “oppose”

This is the website that made me rant. Your opinions?
They forgot that people do outrageous shit for attention, these morons are not Satanists, they are just trying to spark controversy for publicity. What better way than to use what the masses does not understand?

Yesterday at the Imagine Dragons concert, the moon was rising in this circle thing on stage, but was an eye before. Don't know what that shows.

I think that this is both stupid to do such things as a music artist who is looked up to by naive minded KIDS/TEENAGERS, and spark controversy by doing this.
Fuck mainstream music now-a-days. It's become a joke.

How is sparking controversy stupid? Controversy get's you fame, new audiences, and you are exposed more often. Having Satanic symbols on your music, sparks the right amount of controversy for you to make the news, you make the news and you are exposed to teenagers, and kids. Teenagers are bound to be rebellious so they will listen to the music because they know they are not supposed to. Therefore being a very smart market strategy.
Mainstream music is not focused on talent, or even message. It is focused on getting sales, which they do by adding this. However the point of the thread is not how bad mainstream music is, the point is that what they are using to spark controversy is erroneous and it gives a very false image on Satanism, as a Satanist myself I cringe more than often at the ignorance force fed to people. People are lazy and conformist so they will believe anything people tell them and not research it themselves.

I agree with you on this, as a market strategy, it would be smart. I am just annoyed at the lack of talent or message in today's music (as you said), and quite disappointed that modern teenagers fall for this stupid shit with the whole "rebellious" act. If you want to be rebellious, go listen to Heavy Metal at least. I'd rather look rebellious rather than rebellious AND dumb for listening to such petty music. Trust me kids, Heavy Metal will get your parents awful sore :)!

You seem to not have education on Heavy Metal. Heavy Metal sounds rebellious but behind the symbolism and the harsh sound, there lies a message that cannot be ignored. What does a band teach you? Let's take Slayer, sure they are pseudo Satanists but, behind the symbols and the pretending they teach you to break away from the norm, to reach difference to not be a push over, something new music doesn't truly have. It doesn't lead to drug abuse or anything like that, but if we take into consideration the stupidity that reigns on society and the conformity I mentioned earlier, then yes it can be harmless. Intelligence and awareness is key.

Yes, but parents don't care about that. All they care about is that is all screaming and aggressive sounding, so your average parents will be fairly upset by it. I'm a fan of Heavy Metal, man. I used to listen to it a whole lot, but I got bored of the genre in general. However I still respect it as good music, with good messages being sent via their music.

Yes, I often discuss the topic of being disappointed in society twice a week at least.
As a society, we are getting dumber and dumber as it goes. I thought we were supposed to progress, not regress?
