Mendel's Findings
Who was Mendel? Mendel was a Austrian monk who grew garden pea and noticed that there was a change in each generation of garden pea.

Heredity
Basically Mendel created a diagram with short peas and tall peas, it looked like this [Image: Ko95bpC.png] Mendel's V1 Gen was the first generation of two Pure Bread Tall and Short plants to cross pollinate. Mendel's next gen was the F1 Gen, he noticed that he got no short plants in that Gen so he then cross pollinated them again giving him the V2 Gen from which he noticed that the odds of getting a short plant where 3:1 so he named the Tall Gene the Dominate gene and the Short Gene the Recessive gene.

Dominate and Recessive Genes
I'll make it simple, there's a thing called a bunnent square which can show you this real easy. I will make you one here [Image: dSmFNSd.png] Basically the capital T is the Dominate Gene, anything with a Capital T will now have a certain trait. So lets say your Mother had Blue eyes and your Father had brown if your father's brown eyes where the Dominate gene in this case being Capital and the Capital T showed up anywhere you'd have Brown Eyes. Also, there is a chance you could get neither and get a whole different color but, we won't go into that.
