About half an hour or so ago, religion has gotten quite provocative to me. I would like to talk to you guess about what you think about a God or Jesus Christ or any other religious idol. I think I'm pretty much agnostic because i'm open to mostly anything, anything could be true.
Anyway I think i'm going to try to get a religious forum going, but tell me what you think about it.

It'll be hard. Especially when you get the pro-Muslims, they'll rage if some user provokes their religion rules, laws and mindset way of living. Plus you shouldn't be representing any posts about religion on behalf of your forums or you're likely going to get spammed with hate messages.
IMO God is just a supernatural-like defined word in religions, where they have to pray and offer them sweets, money, food, etc to get their blessings so you'd always have good luck. It's an important part of a religion, FYI. Human's oldest and undiscovered answer is..
"Who is God?" Who can also be a what, but to some people it'd be disrespectful so yeah!
Good luck!

It's like this, there's no book, there's no man, there's no spirits that are going to judge us, and tell us how to be morally correct. The truth is, one standard of morals cannot be the same all around the world. There is different situations, there is different standards of living, different temptations, and there are different people world wide, who some have no choice but to kill to live, or steal to eat. I believe we are our own gods in a sense and what I mean by this is, We need to judge ourselves, we need to be morally okay with what we do, It is not up to someone else to decide if what we are doing is correct. That being said, I truly disbelieve any religions could be true, I love to learn about religion I love to have debates with people about religion and I am open, I will take any points and argue them with concrete facts, or simply agree with them. It's irrational to think someone made this earth in seven days, it is irrational to believe that we are to hate gays, it is irrational to believe you aren't to live with your partner before marriage. We are the only ones who cast judgment upon ourselves, we are the ones we have to live with.
All that being said, I am sorry if what I have said has offended anyone.

I agree with most of this. I don't let a book from hundreds of years ago judge and depict what I do. However, if there is a God/Heaven/Jesus (Which I believe their is, personally), then guess what? Most of my morals are good, and I'm a good person at heart. That should be enough. And about this Earth being made in seven days, I don't believe that. I believe that God created science, the big bang, and the creation of everything is existence was all a plan made by God. AKA Science.

My man, you do portray a good argument, but let me back you up for a second here where you said, 'Most of my morals are good' now here's the thing about that, are your ideas of good morals the same as someone in a third world country is forced to kill their parents in order to save themselves? Or is it the same as gods? It's impossible to set morals to the standard of living every where in the world. I admire the fact that you can find truth, and hope in God, Heaven, and Jesus but I can't see it not with all the natural disasters, and mass killings we see everyday.

There has to be pain and suffering so that people don't take other emotions such as happiness for granted.

There has to be pain, natural disasters, and suffering. Or else happiness and joy would be a normal and empty feeling, rendering life boring and meaningless.

What if we are judged as a whole by a god?
Also, I read something in John today about getting into heaven, it said something similar to "You can only get into heaven if you have come from heaven -- The son of Man". I thought of that as we would have been born pure then human influences promote a sin-like life.

I mean I guess that is true but I just can't see it, I really wish I could but my whole life I have just been able to see life as I have explained it in my first post, and I strongly believe in that and I think that one day people will realize it
I do believe there must be darkness, before there can be light. I had a shitty child hood and my ******* always said ''Things will get worse before they get better''
Guys I believe we are all born pure, but then it goes back to this, What is a sin to you and me, is a must in some cultures. My intent on posting here isn't to put any one down, it isn't to try and make people see things my way, my intentions here are simply to let everyone know how I see life, and to let people know that things are different every where, what is morally correct for you, mite not be for me. What is average for you, mite be another's best.
We're all different, religions are different for everyone, even within the same religion it is different.

Well I guess you could say I'm agnostic. One reason I dislike Christianity is that people rarely give the person the credit they deserve. It is always God's will that gave you the idea etc etc
If I had to pick a religion to practice I would probably pick Hinduism as it seems to be the most reasonable in terms of how you can choose to practice it.
